Pro-tip: Click "Download" for a nice big version. Doing that is pretty much essential, if you wanna appreciate all the tireless work that Amanda put into the colouring. Which you do.
So, Mega Man 9. Game of the Year 2008. Oh yeah, I went there.
Deal with it. :I *fold arms*
Seriously, Mega Man 9 owns and this picture is a celebration of all the things from that little game. I absolutely loved this ninth outing for the character (after like a decade of nothing), and aside from my coloured pencil rendition of Magma Man that I did last year, I felt I needed to express my love in a more complete, satisfying way.
And what better way than to it, than a lovely group shot in the style of that Mega Man 2 illustration that I did back in September?
There was a pretty old school approach to tackling this one. No blue pencil, ma. What I did was normally pencil this out in my sketchbook, cut it out with a stanley knife, basic inked over the line art, erased the pencil, and then laboured over the inks for a few hours. Pretty slick. I believe all this was done on the 22nd or 23rd of October, last year. So, yes, just a month after MM9 had been released.
The reason it's turned up in January is because of
and her amazing laziness >: O
Seriously, Amanda had the worst time with the colours on this one, because a) her PC sucked and b) she was being a dumb perfectionist over my shitty line art. Which is wrooong, as this does not deserve this much hassle. Really. I was going to just flat colour the fucker.
I mean, It's okay, I guess, but Mega Man is all wrong, and I really should have redone him for this. But, you know, whatever.

I think my favourite here is definitely Tornado Man. I definitely enjoyed inking him the most, and in my mind, he definitely looks like the most evil Robot Master here. Noice.
Eagle-eyed nerds will also notice that I added a Dr. L belt buckle to Tornado Man, Hornet Man and Magma Man. Why? Because little details like that are amusing to me.
